Development Subsidy Fund

Council's Development Subsidy Fund supports community groups developing their land, buildings and facilities. The subsidy is intended to help cover the cost of development contributions, building consents and resource consents.

The fund is open to local community and voluntary organisations based in Palmerston North whose initiatives primarily target Palmerston North residents.

The land, building and/or facilities being developed must:

• be owned by the group
• be integral to its operations.

How funding will be allocated

This fund will open at the start of the financial year and will remain open until it is fully allocated. Staff will assess applications and make allocation recommendations to the appropriate Council committee.

Priority will be given to applicants who deliver community outcomes that contribute to goal 2, 3 and/or 4 of Council's strategic direction:

• a creative and exciting city
• a connected and safe community
• an eco-city.
