Report graffiti and tagging

Let's keep our city looking lovely. If you see graffiti or tagging, please let us know. We may be able to remove it.

We remove all graffiti and tagging from Council-owned property. Under certain circumstances, we remove it from private properties too.

Criteria for removing graffiti from private properties

If the graffiti is offensive, we will remove it from anywhere in the city.

We remove all graffiti and tagging from properties in the city centre and suburban shopping centres, and from the exterior walls or fences of properties fronting arterial roads:

  • Main Street
  • Pioneer Highway
  • Rangitikei Street
  • Fitzherbert Avenue.

We contact property owners for approval before removing any graffiti.

How to report tagging

We need everyone's help to maintain a clean and friendly looking Palmerston North. If you have tagging on your own property, see it on someone else's property or on public property, please report it by filling in our online form or calling us on 06 356 8199
