• Proposed 30km/h VSL on Grey Street outside the entrance of Mana Tamariki for a stretch of 420 metres.

Reason for proposed change

Only access to the school is on Grey Street, therefore VSL on this road. Not worth including Ward Street, as there is no access, has higher operating speeds (41km/h), and is a bus route. There is a high risk of non-compliance there.

Covers the immediate streets around the school where there will be a high volume of pedestrians and pick-up/drop-off area. The average speed that people are travelling on these two roads is already less than 30km/h.
