Reason for proposed change

Image shows injury and crash numbers around Terrace End School in the past 10 years

Access to the school via Ruahine Street and Wharenui Terrace, so inclusion of Koromiko Avenue, Plymouth Street, and Rangiora Avenue to combine the slower speeds on Ruahine Street for Terrace End School with those on Featherston Street for the Ross Intermediate/Freyberg High School Cluster.

Covers the immediate streets around the school where there will be a high volume of pedestrians and pick-up/drop-off area. The average speed that people are travelling on these two roads is already less than 30km/h.
