Proposed lease at Opie Reserve

Palmerston North City Council intends to grant a lease under the Reserves Act 1977 and our Support and Funding Policy 2022 to Te Kōhanga Reo O Ngāti Hineaute Ki Rangitaane O Manawatū Trust.

This lease will be for Council land at Opie Reserve, as they plan to build a kōhanga reo (kindergarten) and an urban marae (meeting house) there.

If you’d like to know more about this proposed lease, come to Opie Reserve on Saturday 27 January from 10am to 11am to speak with representatives from Council and Ngāti Hineaute.
