Civil defence centres

Civil defence welfare centres are council and community facilities that can be temporarily opened during an emergency to shelter people evacuated from their homes.

There are currently no welfare centres open in Palmerston North.

If we open a welfare centre during an emergency, we'll let you know here, on our main Council Facebook page, and over local radio.
