Battery recycling
Recycle your batteries for free at our Ferguson Street Recycling Centre and other convenient locations around the city.
Do your bit for the environment
Batteries contain harmful chemicals and heavy metals that can pollute the environment. When batteries are recycled these metals can be recovered and used again.
Never put batteries in your recycling bin! They can (and do) cause fires. Please drop them off to us instead.
We're committed to finding ways to reduce waste and our city's impact on the environment, so we're delighted to offer this free recycling service for household quantities of batteries under 2kg.
Bring us your used or old and unwanted batteries for recycling
