What is illegal dumping?

Illegal rubbish dumping is rubbish of any kind dumped in public places, on the roadside or in parks and reserves.

 

It is an offence under the Litter Act 1979.

 

We will investigate anyone dumping rubbish and may take enforcement action.

 

If you see rubbish that has been dumped, or people dumping rubbish, please contact us so we can investigate.

 

Help for charity shops

We can help cover some of the cost of disposing of unwanted items dumped outside charity shops.
