Festival of Cultures

Friday, 21 February 2025 | 6pm to 9.30pm

The weekend's festivities will burst into life with our Multicultural Carnival and Parade. The parade will celebrate global cultures as cultural groups proudly walk around Te Marae o Hine The Square dressed in traditional costumes, showcasing music, dance and other creative expressions of their heritage.

It will culminate with a grand celebration on the main stage, bringing everyone together for an evening of lively performances and festivities.

Creating opportunities to have a go

We're looking for applications to host activities at our Have a Go tent on the Saturday. The Have a Go tent is a place where you can share part of your culture with the wider public. Play a game, teach a dance step, workshop something?

Let us know – we are interested in sharing different aspects of everyone’s cultures.
